Ocean Case Co. Ltd. of Enfield, Nova Scotia, announced today it has concluded an agreement with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation to design and manufacture reusable containers to store and transport various components for Canada’s new CH148 Cyclone maritime helicopters. Sikorsky is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX). The agreement is part of the Industrial and Regional Benefits commitments flowing from Sikorsky Aircraft’s contract to build 28 medium-lift H-92 maritime helicopters, designated the CH148 Cyclone, for the Canadian Forces. "We are excited about our new partnership with Sikorsky Aircraft,” said Ocean Case President Darrell Chaisson. “Now that Sikorsky has assigned part numbers to these containers, the long-term benefits for our company could be quite substantial if they are required for other programs involving the S-92® commercial or H-92 military versions of this helicopter.” “Contracts such as this are rare opportunities in our type of business. We are pleased that Sikorsky has shown confidence in us to move ahead with this opportunity and look forward to starting work within the next month,” Chaisson said.
