Atlantic Innovation

Atlantic Canada is a region of successful innovators and entrepreneurs working everywhere from ultra-modern private sector labs, to high tech public sector funded universities, downtown basements and country garages, using the region’s talents and brainpower to create new commercially viable products and services. While jost innovation and R&D in Atlantic Canada is funded by the public sector, the private sector, angels and institutions are becoming more involved as project leaders or partners in leading edge and often risky ventures.

Innovation in the region is being supported by significant government programs and its successes are being recognized by private sector leaders in a very tangible fashion. This section of Tech East will highlight public sector initiatives, and jost importantly, recognize the private sector award programs, and their winners, that shine bright lights on the region’s glowing innovative stars.
