eSentire Opens Office to support Atlantic Region

eSentire is pleased to announce it has opened and staffed an office located in Halifax to support the security needs of the Atlantic Region.

“After careful study we determined that businesses and government offices based in Atlantic Canada were seeking advanced security services to help reduce business risks related to operational uptime, protection of corporate assets and regulatory compliance and these services aren’t widely available in the Region,” said J.Paul Haynes, CEO of eSentire. “We made the commitment earlier this year to open and staff an office and today are pleased to announce that Travis Barlow has been appointed to the role of Director of Security Consulting Services.”

Mr. Barlow will introduce the complete eSentire solution line to the Atlantic Region which includes information security review and assessment audit services and advanced capabilities in data loss protection, intrusion detection and prevention, forensics and security log management all delivered as a managed service.

Well known in information security circles in the Region, Mr. Barlow leads the Halifax Area Security Klatch and the Atlantic Security Conference (AtlSecCon) both of which bring leading experts in information security practice into a venue for collaborative exchange. Before joining eSentire, Mr. Barlow was a lead practitioner with an international consulting firm that among other services provided information security audit, assessment, and penetration testing services to the Global 2000.
